Sweet Freak: I got to and from by train but to be honest, I couldn't tell you the exact spot where I took this picture only that it was somewhere about 3 hours into the walk from one station to the next. (The entire walk with stop for picnic lunch was about 5 hours.)
Looking at Google Maps, it appears that you can walk between the RER D train stations at La Ferté-Alais and Mennency. I would love to do this walk. Are there trails through the parks along les etangs?
Dan: Yes! You can get hiking maps in France with trails that are part of the national and regional system of trails. The maps are available on-line through the IGN Web site: http://loisirs.ign.fr/11/cartes/randonnee-france.htm
THAT might be your best picture yet...simply lovely...
ReplyDeleteLovely, indeed. Is it accessible by train?
