Same but Different



Gare St. Lazare still has the same glass ceiling that appears in Claude Monet's iconic paintings. But let's just say that the look today is a bit more prosaic, a bit less atmospheric than 130 years ago. Sigh.

Yes, those are some of my favorite Monet paintings as well.

Certainly a different 'atmosphere' at the train station now.

I have to admit, as many times as I've been in the area, I've never entered Gare St Lazarre.
