In Praise of Not So Famous Men
In a town where there's a sameness to a lot of the buildings, it's perhaps surprising to see the signatures of the architects on their work. But let's give credit where credit is due. All hail these men (and I'm pretty much assuming they were all men given the time period) for their clearly lasting contributions to the Paris streetscape. It wouldn't be the same without you.

all buildings everywhere should have the name of the architect on them somewhere..then we can praise or blame them by name..
That's a lot of fingers in the pie for one building.
all buildings everywhere should have the name of the architect on them somewhere.. Debbie, I agree - we would all be so much better educated in terms of architecture then as well, it would bring the art to the masses and I think it would be great.
On a different note, do you think we will see womens names appear on streets/buildings now that women are allowed to make more of a mark in the future? I sure hope so!
