Armed and Ready
I finally managed to get a picture of Paris's finest in their full riot gear. This crew was waiting for some action which I'm pretty sure never came to pass. Still, they looked like they meant business. I was happy just to keep moving and not to be reprimanded for having the audacity to take a snapshot.

Thank you Thank you Thank you... I've always told my American friends that the French National Police are HOT!
You're lucky they didn't make you delete the pic and/or confiscate your camera - it's illegal to take a picture of them!
I have to agree with anonymous though, the French law enforcement are generally very attractive men. Though I may be biased. ;)
Ksam: I figured it wasn't a great idea to take a picture, but I didn't realize it was illegal. They saw me doing it and didn't say "boo." Guess they had bigger fish to fry.
I once took a pic of the police checking the ID of a guy and they made me delete the picture.
Um, you took this just recently? Or was it Halloween??
I'm surer they do not care at all. For an ID check of course, it's different.
The comment saying you were lucky they did not confiscate your camera made me laugh (bitter laugh - 'rire jaune' in french) : we're talking about the french police not about any military dictarure or african military police !
