Hmm, let's see....a half-bottle of champagne (house name unknown), a box of chocolates (size undetermined, but probably small), a single rose, two pillowcases and breakfast....all this for only €895 ($1,145) or €2325 ($2,974) per night....those people at the Ritz certainly know how to entice a couple, don't they?
Hi Anne
I am afraid my thoughts were very much along with those of Starman.
I firmly believe that when it comes to being romantic it is the thought that counts. Not the cash.
Many years ago, on holiday in Paris I bought some roses and gave one to each pretty girl I encountered. It was worth it just to see the reaction, they were not sure about laughing, smiling, blushing or.
No need to be afraid. Dropping that much money on a hotel room only makes me laugh, and my husband feels the same way. If, on the other hand, it were a freebie....well, one can dream.
