Waste Not

My hat is off to folks in the restaurant business. I have no idea how they figure out how much of anything to buy, what dishes are going to be the big sellers, and which ones will fall flat. It kind of makes my mind reel.

Still, it makes me sad to see this.

sad indeed...don't they have something like Second Harvest that would come and pick up un-used food....or are even the needy picky about day old baquets?

With the amount of garbage-picking I saw when I was there last summer, my guess is these would be gone before they get picked up by the daily trash-collecting brigade. Hell, I'd take them!

Yeah, that makes me sad too... Especially with the number of people roaming the streets asking for some spare coins...

I've never understood the French willingness to waste food. And if you don't finish what's on your over-filled plate, they act like you're some kind of villain.
