About Me
For a long time, we were just another typical Washington, DC family: two policy-oriented jobs, two kids, and two cars. Out of the blue, my husband got a new assignment; we ditched the old jobs and the cars (but kept the kids) and headed to Paris for what started out to be a three-year, and eventually became a four-year tour.

Wish the problem were limited to translations. I was helping with concessions at a basketball tournament today and the coach had written "Player's and coaches only on the floor." He had that exact sign up on all the doors, and he's a teacher. What's that apostrophe all about?
I saw a sign last week in Giverny "Made by and" should have been "Made by hand." I know the french have a hard time saying "h" and I guess they just wrote it as it sounds when they say it!
