La Tour Eiffel

Because it's impossible to have too many pictures of the Eiffel Tower, right?  In any season, under any metereological conditions, at any time of day, from any angle or distance.

And to think that the Parisians wanted to tear it down after the universal exposition in 1889!  Nowadays, you can't say Paris without conjuring up an image of it.

What French writer said the only place he likes to go is under the Eiffel Tower, because it's the only spot in Paris where you don't see La Tour??

Can't have enough Eiffel Tower in my books - LOVE these pics. I love the scene in French Kiss when Meg Ryan kept trying to glimpse the tower, and when she finally saw it - golden!

Thanks for your blog and for all the wonderful posts.

well it's hard not to love the iron lady....I remember thinking at my first glance I couldn't get over how BIG it was...

everyone should go up it once...but trust me...once is enough....those elevators are like cattle pens...ha ha

Oh, you are so right - under any conditions, at any angle, from any distance. It always draws your eye. Sigh.

I love that it pops up in unexpected places -- you know, when you least expect to see the Eiffel Tower, there it is. Like a friend and you breath out. Oh!

Brenna: I think that quote was about the Tour Montparnasse. Or maybe it was about the Eiffel Tower and then just repurposed when an uglier building came along.

And the rest of you: any guesses as to where some of these shots were taken?

I'm really late to your blog, obv. over two years late to this post but I came across it recently while googling random thing about Paris and you are 100% there is no such thing as too many pictures of the Eiffel Tower. I think most of my pictures while I was there were of the beautiful tower. Thanks for sharing your experience. I've enjoyed reading your blog, even if I was late to the party. =)
